Murder in M1

For Tom it was any other Monday, he had completed his Physics Mock with ease, he had updated the monitoring equipment in the English Department and now he was sat in the Math room M1 with top set year 7 because of the stupid hourly volunteer rule that exist within the Sixth Form.

That was until the new girl walked in...

"Hi, sorry I'm late," the girl said as she entered the room. "The names Emma, I'm new here."
"Welcome, take a seat over there," Ms Graham offered, pointing towards the table closest to Tom.

Once there she introduced herself to the three of the other kids on the table, Ben, Richard, James and Jasmine. Ben was trying hard not to stare. Emma and Tom's eyes met with a look that said that they would talk later.

The lesson droned on and after about ten minutes the class was finally set to work. Tom went straight to Emma. "What the hell are you doing here?" Tom asked quietly.
"Starting school, what the hell does it look like?" Emma retorted.
"Your gonna get yourself killed," Tom warned.
"Your vision not mine," she snapped.
"You block yours out by concentrating on the air," Tom replied, trying to not gain any attention from the class.
"What are you on about," Ben chimed in.
"The fact that half your class is missing," Tom replied after a minute thinking time.
"What?" Jasmine asked. "They're all ill."
"They're all dead," Tom snapped as a knock at the door sent a chill down his spine.

"Hey Miss, can I speak to Emma a minute," the boy at the door asked. "It's about her mother..."
"Yeah, sure –" the teacher started.
"Over my dead body," Tom chimed up.
"That can totally be arranged," the boy retorted.
"Tom, do you mind?" the teacher asked.
"Yes I do," Tom snapped. "I have the entire school rigged with Monitoring equipment and yet I can't catch one stupid murder."
"I'm not stupid or a murder," the boy replied quietly.
"No, you're a psychopathic Serial Killer who got sent up in a fire tornado," Tom replied calmly. "And for that, Felix you are under arrest for the Inside-Out Murders and the Port-to-Port Murders."
"You have to catch me first," Felix smirked. Tom jumped onto the table and ran at him, jumping over the gaps between.

By the time Tom got to the door Felix was gone. He looked around but could not see Felix, until he heard the window shatter and a bunch of kids scream. He turned and ran back to the door.
"You should know by now Tom, I always get what I want," Tom's eyes narrowed when he saw the Serial Killer with the knife the Emma's neck. Tom couldn't say anything. "Any last words?" Felix asked Emma.
"Go to hell," she snapped and let loose a small fire-ball at Felix's foot.
"You little bitch," Felix growled in anger, hopping up and down on one foot. "For that...you die," he stated as he slid the knife across her throat, causing blood to slowly pour out and over her white shirt.

As she slumped to the ground Tom ran at Felix, who unfortunately used the fire exit before Tom reached him. Tom then knelt down next to Emma and started to cry.

He clicked on a couple of buttons on his watch and clicked on the phone Autopsy button.
A holographic version of the aging Doctor Mallard appeared on the watch. "Hello?" Tom didn't reply. "Oh god Tom, what happened."
"He's gone too far," Tom struggled to say through the tears. "I've got one more body for you Duck."
        "Who?"
"Emma...My daughter," Tom replied. "Tell Gibbs and EJ that I need to speak with them."
        "Okay," Ducky replied sympathetically.

Tom ended the call and walked to the wall, clicking a specific button that produced a small SD card with the entire Crime Scene in a 3D rendering. He then knelt down next to her body before picking her up. "You can't do that," the teacher ordered.
        "Why not?" Tom asked.
"Because you'll disturb the crime scene," she replied.
"That's why I'm taking her to NCIS, I trust them," Tom explained.
"But NCIS is for the Navy?" she queried.
"Felix is responsible for more than just her death. The six Inside-Out Murders, the Port-to-Port Murders and the sixty odd kids from here that he has killed in the last week," Tom described. "I've followed this case from the beginning, and it is now mine to deal with once and for all."

And with that he left through the fire door and placed his palm into the air before letting off a small beam of light that flew into the sky before expanding into a sideways figure of 8, the symbol of time. He then took one more step forwards into the Swirling white Portal and into Autopsy and placing Emma's body on the sole free table closest to the door.
